DAV longevity tests

Discussion of all V4L hardware including Batteries, Passthroughs, Chargers, etc.

It was just a suggestion because I didn't know what you would try after DAV 2 eventually dies. Poor DAV 2, your life was not in vain.

Time for yet another update. :)

DAV 1. Never deep cycled, only used with slim line-

Average use time after 150 Charges- 2 Hours 46 minutes
Average use time after 175 Charges- 2 Hours 45 minutes
Average use time after 200 Charges- 2 Hours 45 minutes

DAV 2. Always deep cycled, used with a fast charger never left unattended at my own risk-

Average use time after 250 charges- 2 Hours 7 minutes
Average use time after 275 charges- 1 Hour 49 minutes

After charge number 287 the use time was only 1 hour and 14 minutes. Needless to say this battery has given up the ghost. Fast charging and deep cycling is a quick way to end the life of your DAV.

DAV 3. Never deep cycled, only charged with a fast charger at my own risk-

Average use time after 250 charges- 2 Hours 38 minutes
Average use time after 275 charges- 2 Hours 35 minutes
Average use time after 300 charges- 2 Hours 31 minutes

DAV 4. Deep cycled and used only with the USB charger from V4L-

Average use time after 5 charges (baseline)- 2 hours 49 minutes
Average use time after 50 charges- 2 hours 48 minutes

Actual mah rating tests test

DAV 1- 644mah (Previously 645mah)
DAV 2- 498mah after charge 275, final mah rating was 377mah (Previously 553mah)
DAV 3- 629mah (Previously 636mah)
DAV 4- 648mah (649mah on original test)

So ends the life of DAV 2. This (on top of other reasons) is a big reason why V4L hasn't brought a quick charger to market as of yet. Could technically recharge that DAV 3 times a day using it, and can almost guarantee based on past experiences with batts if I had put them strain on them the 287 charges would have been closer to 220 or so. Makes room for DAV 4 though.

Zeusness deep cycling is running the battery to anything under 3.5v. DAV 1 & 3 stop vaping them at 3.55v on average, those that are deep cycled run until they're dead.

Thanks for the update Morandir Sir. And a very special thanks for adding the V4L USB adapter to the testing. Are you planning on deep cycling that one every time, too?

Goodbye DAV 2... :(

We mourn your passing but we also celebrate your life and the educational impact you've had on vapers everywhere.

Thank you Morandir sir!
Today's lesson: I need to buy more batteries STAT so I can stop deep cycling! Thank you for justifying yet another purchase!! I really do appreciate it. :)
