Transferring efluid from one carto to another

Postby Darin McFarland » Sun Feb 17, 2013 10:39 pm

One of my new favorite things lately is to take some of the old prefilled cartos (specifically the Wow Vanilla) which are just about all used up and then adding one of my favorite fluids (Wow Wowbacco) to it to bring it back to life, with the added benefit of pleasant vanilla overtones.

Well, tonight I pulled out an old Vanilla carto, filled it, and first puff...ICK! Burnt carto! I didn't want to waste all that precious fluid, so here's what I did:

Take 1 carto condom and carefully cut out the bottom. Now take the burnt carto and mark it with a sharpy (dot, X, etc) as to not get the two cartos confused. Place the cut out condom halfway on the bad carto which has the fluid you would like to transfer in it, and slide the other half of the cut out condom over the carto you want to transfer fluid to, drip tip end to drip tip end. Now install a plug into the bottom of the new carto and slide a condom over it. With the two cartos held together by the cut out condom, place them both in your favorite "Taryn Spin" device and spin. All fluid will be transferred from bad carto to good carto. No muss no fuss!

Happy Vaping Folks!

One addendum: My "Taryn Spin" device is a Vapor4Life battery pouch. I don't cut the slit in it halfway down like in SnowDragon's vid...I leave mine whole. This makes it large enough to hold two cartos end to end.

Another good idea Darin sir! I wonder how it would work with tank cartos? Probably just as well. I had all but given up trying to clean them because my success rate is only about 50% on refilling. Now at least I could save the juice. Thanks!

Rocco sir, I have used this technique with tank cartos as well. I use strips of Duct tape instead of carto condoms, and remember to tape over the small intake holes near the base of the carto, and plug the hole in the threaded end on the "transfer to" carto as to not spin the desired juice completely through the carto and out the bottom...

I just can't let even a little of that good juice go to waste!!
